Rosti & Jeani Eismont will speak at the next Brattleboro WordPress Meetup on October 26th, 5:30 – 7:00 pm at Marlboro College Graduate School. The topic is The Essential Truths of Web Design.
How do we, as designers, approach web design?
We accept and utilize “themes” “formats”, etc. WHY? It’s easier?
How can we reconsider our positions as designers to hold true to the essential truths of design.
1. Attention to detail.
2. Consider the client.
3. Educate the client (or try to).
4. Approach the project with the clients mind.
5. Approach the project by using the designer’s mind.
6. Convert the client.
In this talk/discussion, Rosti will focus on issues, limitations and ideas specific to web design. Jeani will present on web typography.
