How To Learn CSS

CSS

SS (Cascading Style Sheets) is a language used for describing the presentation of a document written in a markup language (i.e. HTML).

Members will share strategies, tools, online learning programs, tips, and more. Marjorie Ray will provide a short introduction to CSS, then we’ll discuss selectors, siblings, attributes, flexbox, SASS, and more. We’ll also look at how to use the Customizer to make simple changes to your WordPress site using CSS.

Intro to Javascript and Two-Step Authentication

  • Thursday, April 27, 2017

    5:30 PM

    Marlboro College Graduate School

28 Vernon St, Brattleboro, VT (map)

  • Marlboro College Grad School, Rm 2C
  • Featuring two topics –

DOM Manipulation with JavaScript and jQuery, with Dan Berger.

A gentle introduction to the world of JavaScript. We’ll cover element selection and event listeners with an interactive exercise that you can do in your browser’s developer tools.

    Two-Step Authentication, with Eben Gilkenson.

Protect your WordPress logins with a 2-factor authentication system. Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds another security check to the login process, by requiring a one-time code that is sent to or generated by a mobile device or USB key. We’ll learn how to set up 2FA login options using three different plug-ins and show how to make it required for all users.
